When I think about truly nourishing water, my mind brings me to the natural spring that sits along highway 89A in Sedona, AZ. But depending on where you live, natural springs (or just potable water coming straight from the earth in general) are few and far between. True spring water is safe to drink straight from the source, and retains a mineral profile that helps our bodies function. Where I live, sources of water like this can be extremely inaccessible. I find myself surrounded by reverse osmosis water-filling stations that aren't terrible - but aren't great - and thousands of water bottles and plastic jugs that lay waste to earth's ecosystems. Many unfiltered taps are filled with excessive heavy metals and other environmental toxins, and single use items - besides just being generally wasteful - leach microplastics into our drinking water. ☠️

This is where Healthy Hydration has come in clutch.

I stumbled upon the hydrogen water market after finding out that people were using machines to filter their tap water - and infusing it with hydrogen. I initially called snake oil on the whole thing (because why not drink just plain water?). But after researching the mechanics behind hydrogen gas, and learning that its benefits were being comfirmed through not just animal studies, but human studies as well, I saw the point of all of the hype. This company that I reached out to - for me, at least - totally met the brief when it came to creating a set of products in a way that didn't compromise quality in the way that some other larger hydrogen water mogules are. And the fact that some of those mogules were charging their customers twice as much for similar products? 🙅🏽‍♀️ It was a no from me.


I was stoked to find a resource that provides my family with not only adequately filtered tap water, but water that is also infused with molecular hydrogen, giving us a science-backed boost in our health. For context, my family has been either storing water in, or drinking out of plastic for pretty much forever. We've preferred to refill those large plastic jugs at water stations, but even that isn't accessible to us all the time (so we end up needing to buy either smaller disposable jugs or water bottles). Cheap water filters falter when it comes to filtering out chlorine from tap water to the extent that Healthy Hydration does, and those cool pitchers that companies sell are also made of plastic. And while these options aren't terrible (and a great choice depending on your life context!), I also wanted the therapeutic effects of hydrogen.🫧 If not for me, then for my children - a generation of kids being brought up in a world where dolphins now breathe out microplastics, and oxidative stress/inflammation (and therefore cancers & "age related diseases") are going to become serious issues. For me, the investment is worth it. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒
